Erin Venables
Erin Venables has over 20 years experience developing downhole tools for the energy industry. She has worked in the engineering departments of major service companies such as Weatherford and Precision Energy Services where she became proficient in SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD. She has travelled to Russia, Thailand, Peru, Colombia and Mexico to field-test her designs.
Erin has been taught all types of drafting from civil to architectural and piping, and is known among her peers for rapid prototyping and attention to detail. Erin covers an entire project from engineering calculations, drafting, documentation, and manufacturing. Currently she holds one patent for downhole tools.
Erin’s hobbies include raising Continental Giant bunnies. She designs, builds and sells bunny condominiums and barns (see the Ronin Design Gallery). She holds a brown belt in Judo and has represented Canada around the world. She lives in Hinton, Alberta, close to the mountains where she enjoys camping and fishing.
